Spring Break!

Angie & I in Segovia... look how green it was!

Ah, Semana Santa in Spain. Holy Week. Full of processions, tourists, closed shops, funny food, and MY BEST FRIEND!

Except -- we didn't see any processions because of the rain, we were the tourists, shops don't close in Madrid like they did in Alicante, and the funny food turned out to be amazing!

Homemade torrijas
Unfortunately, Angie didn't see the sunny Spain she was hoping to see because it was raining off and on all week. Copenhagen actually had better weather than Spain this week... too bad the bad weather seemed to have followed Angie!

But we didn't let a little rain spoil our time together. We meandered through Madrid and even had the time to go to Segovia. Lucky us, my friend Daniel cooked us curry one night! And we also went to my friend Paloma's house and she taught us how to make torrijas, which is an Easter dessert here in Spain. The torrijas were to die for!

As expected, Angie's time in Spain went by way too fast! I miss her already, but ya gotta do whatcha gotta do. Here's to the memories!
